Is it free?
Yes. There is nothing to buy: bones, clothes and furniture have no money value and can't be bought. Some bonuses may be an optional short video.
Do I need to download anything?
No — it plays in your browser, on a phone or a computer. You can add it to your home screen like an app (☰ → Install, after adopting).
Do I need an account?
Not to start: you can look after your pet as a foster straight away. To keep it on any phone, adopt it with a link name and a password. There is no email and no real name.
Where is my pet kept before I adopt?
In this browser, and a copy on our server under a random code for 30 days, so it isn't lost if you move to another browser. Adopt it to keep it for good.
I have a new phone, or I'm in another browser.
Open pitterlings.com, tap Already adopted? Log in and use your link name and password.
I forgot my password.
On the log-in screen, tap Forgot your password? and type the code from your certificate with a new password. Lost the certificate? Where you are still logged in, ☰ → Settings → Your certificate shows it again (on another phone it makes a new code).
Why does it say my pet is on another screen?
The game plays on one screen at a time. Opening it somewhere else moves it there; open it again here to bring it back.
Can I have more than one pet?
Yes — your family grows with your home, up to five animals in a house of eight rooms.
How do I get more bones?
Play the little games (the game of the day pays double), walk in the park, grant your pets' wishes, finish sets in your collection, sell treats from your pantry and leave bones at friends' homes.
Who can see my home?
You choose in ☰ → Settings: anyone with your link, friends only, or only you. You can also let players drop in at random, or not.
Will it send me notifications?
Only if you turn them on (☰ → Settings, after adopting), and only good news — bones, likes and stickers from friends, a gift at the door — at most once a day, in the daytime.
Who is it for?
Adults (18+).
How do I delete my account?
☰ → Settings → Delete my account and pets. It removes everything we keep about you (see the privacy policy).
